What happens to our skin as we age?
The pace at which skin ages depends on a variety of factors such as lifestyle, diet, genetics and personal habits. However, it is inevitable that at some point in our lives we all notice the effects of ageing skin.
- It looses it’s natural firmness as the regeneration of collagen slows down.
- It becomes thinner caused by the thinning of the epidermis
- It no longer feels smooth as wrinkles start to appear
- It looses its fullness
Dermal fillers are used for facial aesthetic treatments and can restore, revolumise and rejuvenate the face. It is injected into the wrinkles and fine lines around the face, plumping and smoothing the skin to give a refreshed appearance. Dermal fillers can also be used to increase the volume and definition of the lips and cheeks.
An instantaneous effect is achieved, lasting up to 6 months.
